Talking to your teen about sex is one of the most important gifts you can give your child. Research shows that teens are more likely to delay sexual activity if parents have talked with them about sex. All too often, we delay the conversation or give up when our teen does not react well. We can and must do better. In today’s online, oversexualized world, it pays to be proactive, and talk to your teen about sex first in a way that is rooted in your values and perspective.
This five-session workshop will guide you in articulating your values, give you scripts you can use with your child, and support you in starting and sustaining these conversations as your child goes through adolescence into young adulthood. Topics will include sex, pleasure, relationships, consent, and pornography. Groups are available for parents of children ages 10-17 year old, and consist of 5-8 parents with children of similar ages.
The fee is $300 per participant.
